ITINERARY:

Tbilisi - Jvari Monastery (Mtskheta) - Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (Mtskheta) - Samtavro Convent (Mtskheta) - Mtatsminda Park (Tbilisi) - Holy Trinity Cathedral (Tbilisi) - Rike Park (Tbilisi) - Abanotubani (Sulphur Baths District in Tbilisi)

TOUR HIGHLIGHTS:

• Jvari Monastery (Mtskheta) - Explore this stunning 6th-century monastery, perched on a hilltop offering breathtaking panoramic views of Mtskheta and the confluence of the Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers;

• Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (Mtskheta) - The magnificent 11th-century cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most important religious sites in Georgia;

• Mtatsminda Park (Tbilisi) - We'll drive up to Mtatsminda Park, where you can enjoy stunning views of Tbilisi.  If you'd like, you can take the funicular down the mountain (funicular tickets are an additional expense). I'll meet you at the bottom station;

• Holy Trinity Cathedral (Tbilisi) - A visit to Tbilisi wouldn't be complete without seeing the magnificent Holy Trinity Cathedral.  As the third-largest Orthodox cathedral in the world, it's a truly breathtaking structure;

• Rike Park (Tbilisi) - Enjoy a leisurely walk through the contemporary Rike Park.  Cross the distinctive Peace Bridge and capture stunning photos of the charming Old City;

• Abanotubani (Tbilisi) - Explore the historic Sulphur Baths District, where, according to legend, Tbilisi was founded.

Start Time: 10:00 AM

Duration: Approximately 9 hours (Please discuss specific timing requirements with your guide in advance if needed).

Price: Equivalent to 125 USD in Georgian Lari (GEL). Payment can be made in cash or by bank card (which is accepted in Georgia and has a contactless payment option) at the official exchange rate of the National Bank of Georgia on the day of the transaction.

Additional Expenses: Lunch (cost to be covered by the individual).

• The route includes some winding sections of road;

• Comfortable walking shoes are recommended;

• As the excursion includes a visit to a churches/monasteries, women are advised to bring their own head covering (e.g., a scarf).
